General Visitors to our Website

For visitors who view the school’s website (but do not complete and submit an online form) we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns e.g. geographical location, browser type, length of visit. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of general browsers on our website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be transparent about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Visitors who Complete & Submit Website Forms and/or Requests

If you complete any forms on our website, for example a Prospectus Request Form or Registration Form, the information submitted will be transmitted to a contact within the school by email and maybe stored in a secure off-line database or both. Due diligence is taken to ensure that this information can only be accessed by appropriate staff at Newland House School and is used only to supply you with the services or information requested such as the despatch of a prospectus or the registration of a child. 

Newland House School will delete visitors' personal details stored on its database on receipt of a personal delete request from you quoting your personal details and original e-mail message or the date of completion of the website form.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. You may instruct us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes by email at any time to admissions@newlandhouse.net.

We will not use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. However, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

Online Transactions

Online Registrations

Online registrations will be processed within 5 working days from receipt of the registration fee. The only exception to this will be over extended periods when the school is closed in which case you will receive an acknowledgement that your registration form has been received and the form will be processed once the school reopens or sooner. 

Online Registration Fee

A non-refundable registration fee of £100 is payable on registration of a child. The registration cannot be completed without settlement of this fee. Payment may be made online, via direct bank transfer or sent by post with a cheque payable to Newland House School Trust Ltd to the school:

Registration Cancellation

You must inform us of your wish to cancel in writing by e-mail to admissions@newlandhouse.net within a period of 48 hours beginning on the day and time the registration is received. Should you change your mind about registration of your child at a later date you may cancel the registration at any time by email as above, but the registration fee is not refundable.

Online Deposit & Offer Acceptance

A deposit of £1000 is payable on acceptance of a Confirmed Place (or offer) at the school. Online acceptances will be processed within 5 working days from receipt of the deposit. The only exception to this will be over extended periods when the school is closed in which case you will receive an acknowledgement that your offer acceptance form has been received and the form will be processed once the school reopens or sooner.

Withdrawal of a Confirmed Place

The deposit will be held throughout the child’s time at the school and will only be refunded, less the cost of any outstanding extra charges, at the end of their final term, provided one clear term's written notice is given prior to leaving. The deposit is not refundable if your child does not take up a place at the school.

In order to withdraw the acceptance of a place after previously accepting and paying the deposit, but before your child starts at the school, one clear term’s written notice must be given prior to the term in which they were due to start. If such notice is received by the school, whilst the deposit will be forfeited in accordance with the above, no further fees will be payable. If less than one clear term’s notice is given, or if no notice is received, a term’s fees shall be payable.
