Nursery

Our Nursery School provides a seamless natural entry point to the Pre-Prep and Prep school. Based within premises on Waldegrave Park, the nursery is conveniently placed to benefit from our existing extensive educational facilities and offers an enviable outdoor learning space. The building was subject to complete refurbishment 5 years ago and is now appropriately adapted to provide spacious and stimulating playrooms offering direct outdoor access.

A Unique Learning Experience

We believe that every child should be happy, secure, valued and confident. We see every child within our Nursery as a unique individual, who enjoys learning and thinking for him or herself. We provide a supportive and secure environment in which every child can flourish and learn at their own pace and in their own individual way. Our role is to stimulate and encourage their development and enjoyment of learning through a variety of different activities in secure indoor and outdoor situations, through play and through structured and creative activities. We encourage the growth of social skills and empathy amongst the children.  The relationships which the children develop with each other and with our staff are central to their happiness and lay the best possible foundation for their future.

Joining

We are a term-time nursery school, open five days per week to complement the Pre-Prep and Prep school day for children aged 3 to 4 years. Children join the nursery in the September following their third birthday which is the year prior to joining Reception. As they learn more about themselves and the world around them their year at nursery provides a natural, welcoming, and comprehensive prologue to starting school.

We see every child within our Nursery as a unique individual, who enjoys learning and thinking for him or herself.

Nursery times harmonise with morning drop off at the Prep and Prep-Prep providing parents with a single drop off and close proximity to any older siblings. Children may attend either five mornings sessions, five full day sessions or five mornings sessions plus a minimum of two afternoon sessions.
