Sexual abuse and the role that schools might play by inadvertently condoning it, has justifiably been in the national news over recent weeks, with the Everyone’s Invited website detailing the harrowing experiences of victims.
Following extensive research, we have recently enhanced our Year 7 and 8 provision to ensure that pupils can develop the essential, stand-out skills now being demanded by many of the biggest companies and employers.
Newland House has always been a school in which the pastoral care of children is of the utmost importance and this experience will serve us particularly well this term.
The idea that the decisions we make in schools should be governed by evidence of the extent to which they impact on children’s learning, sounds like a really obvious premise.
The idea of pupil-led social action is extremely appealing....
