Selecting the school to which you would like your child to move after Newland House is obviously an important decision. It is crucial that parents select a school where their child will be happy and flourish and we will give you advice and support in this vital decision at an appropriate stage. The school will work with parents to identify the most appropriate schools that best suit your child's ability and talents.
From Years 4 to 5 onwards, we offer parents the opportunity to discuss future school choices with the Headmaster, Senior Leadership Team and Girls’ Tutor. This will enable the school to make sensible, realistic suggestions about suitable senior school choices, as some have an early closing date for registration. By Year 6, when decisions have been made, we continue to liaise with parents to address any outstanding areas of concern.
A Future Schools’ Evening is held annually to give information and guidance on entry to senior schools and includes a presentation from a senior school Head. We also host a number of adhoc events throughout the year.
