Swimming
Children in Year 3 to 5 swim once a week as part of the national curriculum, learning the basic principles of the 4 different strokes as well as survival skills. Year 3 have their lessons at Feltham Pool and Years 4 and 5 have their lessons at Teddington pool. Swimming is taken very seriously and there are many boys and girls galas against other local schools with the highlight of the year being the Borough Schools Gala.
Through our swimming club, all pupils in the main school have the ability to swim every week, giving them a chance to build up more swimming confidence and stamina under the guidance of qualified swimming teachers. In the final term, all the children are given the opportunity to swim for their respective houses in the Inter school gala at Teddington Pool.
