ICT will play an important role in the lives of today’s children. In Years One and Two the children have one lesson each week in the computer suite at the main school. This is taught by a specialist and the pupils learn basic word processing and develop their keyboard dexterity using software programs such as Paint. The school network is obviously protected by secure filters to allow the children to use it safely. They are encouraged to use the web for research of classroom topics and each classroom has a computer that uses both Numeracy and Literacy software.
