The Pirates of Penzance

Newland House Leavers (Year 8 boys and Year 6 Girls) played their final part and entertained both parents and staff alike in two superb performances of the Pirates of Penzance.
The girls sang wonderfully and were beautifully be-decked with

fans, feather, lace and crinoline as the pirates, whilst brandishing cutlasses, enjoyed the ripped-hip-denim look and sported eye-patches and earrings.

The policemen ranked nobly in matching uniforms and amused us all with their timely marching and genuflexing of the knees as they Tarantaraad into the night.
I am sure they shall all ‘Live in song and story as they go to immortalityyyyyyy’.
